Steadfast Path Membership Agreement & Cancellation Policy
Steadfast Path Horsemanship & EAL
Thank you for becoming a member of Steadfast Path Horsemanship & EAL! Our membership program is designed to provide consistent opportunities for connection, horsemanship, equine-assisted learning, growth, and community.
Because membership spots are limited, each member’s space is reserved specifically for them. This policy helps us maintain a reliable program and prevents another individual from being unable to join because a spot is being held and then cancelled at the last minute.
1. Membership Commitment
By enrolling in a Steadfast Path membership, you agree to maintain your membership for the selected membership term and follow the cancellation policies outlined below.
Memberships open at the beginning of each month. Membership benefits may include access to designated membership activities, programs, events, discounts, educational opportunities, and other benefits specifically offered as part of your membership.
Membership spots are limited and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Cancellation Policy
Members may cancel their membership by providing 30 days’ written notice.
Cancellation must be submitted in writing by email, text message, or another method designated by Steadfast Path.
Your membership and applicable payments will remain active throughout the required 30-day notice period.
Not attending an activity does not constitute cancellation.
3. No Last-Minute Cancellation
Membership spots are limited. When you enroll, Steadfast Path reserves that membership opportunity for you and may turn away another individual because the membership is full.
For this reason, cancellation requires 30 days’ notice.
If a member cancels without providing the required 30-day notice, the member may be responsible for membership payments that would have been due during the remainder of the 30-day notice period.
This allows Steadfast Path reasonable time to offer the available membership to another individual.
4. No Membership Holds or Freezes
Steadfast Path does not offer membership holds, freezes, or temporary suspensions.
If you are unable to participate for a period of time, your membership will continue according to the terms of this agreement unless you properly cancel your membership.
If you later wish to return after cancellation, you may reapply for membership if space is available.
Rejoining is not guaranteed if the membership is full or if there is a waiting list.
5. Missed Activities & No-Shows
Membership fees reserve your membership and access to the benefits included with that membership. They are not based solely on attendance.
Therefore:
Missed activities are generally not refundable. No-shows are not refundable. Members are responsible for knowing their scheduled activities and arrival times. Missed opportunities do not automatically carry over to another date. Make-up opportunities are not guaranteed and may only be offered when space and scheduling allow.
6. Late Arrival
Members are expected to arrive on time for scheduled activities.
Late arrival may result in reduced participation time when necessary for safety, scheduling, or the experience of other participants.
7. Membership Transfer
Memberships are personal and may not be sold, transferred, or given to another individual without written approval from Steadfast Path.
8. Payment Policy
Memberships open at the beginning of each month. Payment is due one week before the month begins in order to reserve your membership spot for the upcoming month.
If payment is not received by the due date, the account will be considered past due.
If payment is more than three days past due, Steadfast Path will contact the member and provide notice that the membership will be cancelled if payment is not received within the following day.
If payment is not received within that additional one-day period, Steadfast Path may cancel the membership and offer the membership spot to another individual.
Any applicable returned-payment or processing fees may be charged to the member.
9. Program Schedule & Changes
Steadfast Path may make reasonable changes to schedules, activities, instructors, locations, or program offerings when necessary.
Every effort will be made to provide reasonable notice of significant changes.
If Steadfast Path must cancel a scheduled membership activity, an appropriate make-up opportunity, credit, or other resolution may be offered at the discretion of Steadfast Path.
10. Safety & Conduct
All members and guests must follow Steadfast Path barn rules, safety requirements, instructor directions, and horse-handling guidelines.
Members are expected to treat horses, staff, volunteers, instructors, and other members with respect.
Steadfast Path reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership when behavior creates a safety concern, repeatedly violates barn rules, or is inappropriate toward horses, staff, volunteers, or other members.
11. Waiting List
When membership is full, prospective members may be placed on a waiting list.
When a membership becomes available, Steadfast Path may offer the opening to someone on the waiting list.
Once a membership has been cancelled and the space has been offered to another individual, the previous member is not guaranteed the ability to immediately rejoin.
12. Cancellation by Steadfast Path
Steadfast Path reserves the right to terminate a membership for serious or repeated violations of safety rules, conduct expectations, payment obligations, or other terms of this agreement.
13. Refund Policy
Membership payments are generally non-refundable once the membership period has begun.
No refunds will be provided for missed activities, vacations, scheduling conflicts, failure to attend, or late payment.
Exceptions may be made at the sole discretion of Steadfast Path in unusual circumstances.
